  1. If you’re like me and you use your smartphone, tablet and laptop for just before you go to bed. Install this app! F.lux adjusts your display based on the time and sunset of your location to ensure you are not being inundated with blue light from your devices which in turn will disrupt your sleep quality. I use this app on my MacBook and it’s great!
  2. The equivalent for the browser on your iPad or iPhone to F.lux is Koala. Use this instead of opening Google or Safari when you use the internet before going to sleep. It does the same thing as F.lux by reducing the blue light emitted by your screen that messes with your brain!
  3. Another great app I use on my iPhone is Sleep Time: Sleep Cycle Smart Alarm. Set your alarm on your phone using this app with a window of when you need to wake up. The phone will monitor your sleep and only sound the alarm when you are in the lightest section of sleep. When you are woken during a section of deep sleep you are groggy, still feel tired and things are just that bit harder to get going. I really recommend this app. Even on “not enough sleep” I feel better being woken up by this alarm. Whether that’s because of the physiology or the placebo who cares!!! Give this one a go.

Give these apps a go and let me know how you get on by clicking here

More on sleep quality from me soon.
